About FBM

History

FBM Media Solutions, founded by CEO Carl McDonald, established its headquarters in the United Arab Emirates in 2018. The company has evolved into a premier production partner for leading global brands, including Getty Images, Euronews, BBC, CNN and Bloomberg.

In 2021, we expanded our portfolio through FBM Films FZCO, delivering impactful projects such as EXPO 2020, GITEX, Steven Bartlett at Dubai Opera, and the award-winning ‘Welsh in Dubai’ documentary series.

The company’s expertise now spans media production, content creation, talent management and development and we have recently strengthened our presence in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with collaborations including LEAP, Red Sea Film Festival, FII Institute, and Sandstorm Festival.

Embracing the shift to short-form, agile content, FBM now develops cutting-edge platforms for Sports, News and Entertainment across the Middle East. CEO

Carl McDonald is the Founder and Owner of FBM Media Solutions and FBM Films LLC, with over 20 years’ experience working at the sharp end of international media production.

An entrepreneur and Creative Director, Carl has built and led high-performing teams delivering broadcast, branded content, and large-scale productions for global networks, platforms, and brands. His work spans television, documentary, digital, and commercial content, with a reputation for combining strong storytelling with flawless execution.

Based in the Middle East and operating extensively across Europe and the Far East, Carl brings deep regional knowledge, trusted international crews, and a calm, solutions-driven approach to complex productions. Known as both a creative lead and an on-screen host, he combines editorial instinct with commercial awareness — ensuring every project is engaging, authentic, and delivers real value.
